Rick Howell lives
in Mogote, Colorado, a small town at
the mouth of the Conejos Canyon in
the Southern San Juan Mountains. After
receiving a degree from Colorado State
University in Biology, Howell pursued
a successful career managing stock
brokerage firms in Denver. A self-taught
landscape painter, he left the business
world in 1993 to become a full time
artist.
Howell is a nationally recognized
artist. His work is held in many corporate
and private collections. His awards
