Stephen Quiller is
an internationally known painter. He
travels frequently to instruct workshops,
or with his family and friends, to
beautiful painting sites throughout
the world. However, he continues to
spend most of his time painting on-location
or at his studio in Creede. Here he
paints beaver ponds, snow shadows,
water reflections and mountain patterns,
wild iris and aspen, reaching deeper
to capture the essence of the rhythm
and spirit of the San Juans.
Stephen has supported CRT since he
came to Creede. In fact, for several
years, the Main Street building which
is home to Quiller Gallery also housed
the summer theatre company.
Every five years, Quiller has donated
a painting for the CRT Art Poster.
This 2005 poster is a fitting tribute
to CRT's 40th Anniversary. |
