A Note from the Board President

Congratulations. You have found the electronic presence of a sparkling gem of the Rocky Mountains - Creede Repertory Theatre. Welcome to a truly amazing delighter of the senses - virtually unparalleled professional Theatre in a breathtaking (literally?) setting. You are invited to join in the joy, to marvel in the mystery and to experience one of life’s great enrichment opportunities as gifted actors take you into a world of imagination.

The little town of Creede, Colorado sits in the majestic scenery of the southern Rocky Mountains. Thousands of folks have found this incredible part of the country and they return year after year to absorb its beauty and all that it offers.

From its inception nearly fifty years ago as a dream of a dozen theater students from Kansas, CRT has grown into a nationally-recognized theater dedicated to delivering a diverse array of inspired programming, exciting new works and educational opportunities for all ages.

As a centerpiece of the region, Creede Repertory Theatre:

- was singled out by USA Today as one of “ten great places to see the lights way off Broadway,”

- led Creede to recognition as a winner of the Colorado Governor’s Arts Award in 2010,

- received the National Theatre Conference Outstanding Theatre Award, a highly significant recognition because it comes from CRT’s peers.

The history of CRT is impressive but you are encouraged to watch its future. The gifted people who are Creede Repertory Theatre are NOT resting on their abundant accomplishments. They work to top them year after year, and they succeed.

Won’t you join us in Creede during the coming summer season and learn why we are so excited about the engaging programs that CRT offers and how the rest-of-the-world is making this discovery. If you know us, join us this summer - find more information as you travel around our website. If you don’t know us yet, we encourage you to learn more - there is so much more to learn and celebrate!
